Mistborn: Mistwraith outside Luthadel
This page contains my lego fan art of a mistwraith in the woods outside Luthadel, from Mistborn: The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. That is the first volume in the Mistborn series. The Mistborn series currently contains six novels and three shorter stories, and it is part of Sanderson's Cosmere universe. Brandon Sanderson's official introduction to the first book in the series can be found here, along with sample chapters, annotations, deleted scenes, and some official artwork.
Spoiler warning: this album has minor spoilers for chapter 8 of Mistborn: The Final Empire. That is pretty early in the book, but proceed at your own risk.
You can view the files either through the gallery below or the individual image links just below the gallery. Below that, I have included a discussion of the build and some of the customization involved, followed by copyright and use information. If you're on mobile, the menus are at the bottom of the page.

About this build
To make the mist, I used a fog machine intended for a reptile terrarium. Unfortunately, the fog dissipates very quickly, so I couldn’t figure out how to fill the entire scene with fog. To get these final images I had to take many shots with the fog machine output hose in different places, and then blend the images together in GIMP. If anyone knows a trick to keep the fog from dispersing so quickly, I'd love to hear it. People have suggested that I use dry ice instead, but I don’t want to get condensation all over everything else in the room.
The only custom elements here are the decals I used for Sazed and for the scars on the backs of Kelsier's hands. There is no mention of what colors Sazed's robes are in the original Mistborn trilogy, so I left them white. I should fix that.
