Name of the Wind: Tarbean

Eolian lego fan artThis page contains my fan art of the city of Tarbean from The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. The Name of the Wind is the first book in The Kingkiller Chronicle. An introduction to each book can be found at Patrick Rothfuss' official page, along with Pat's blog (warning: occasional -- well, frequent -- strong language).

Spoiler warning: spoilers through chapter 32.

You can view the files either through the gallery below or the individual image links just below the gallery. Below that, I have included a discussion of the build and some of the customization involved, followed by copyright and use information. If you're on mobile, the menus are at the bottom of the page.

About this build

Even though this build took up my entire work table, I feel like it needs to be significantly bigger.

The hair on Kvothe is a custom mold from AreaLight Custom Works. The torso on the female denner addict is also by AreaLight, and their black cape works well as Kvothe's shade. The lights are a mix of lego light bricks and LEDs from BrickStuff.
